PHP is a popular general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited to web development. PHP is the widely used open source web development scripting/programming language, that can have HTML codes in its scripting
 

This article as been published to guide you along in editing PHP Versions in cPanel.

 

To edit the PHP Version in cPanel, follow the steps below;

  1. Open your chosen web browser and type in the following url. https://www.appyhost.com
  2. Click on the tab on the banner that states  ACCOUNT.
  3. Click on Services Tab and select the domain name in which you would like to access the cPanel account.
  4. Below the actions tab, click  LOGIN TO cPanel
  5. You will now be re-directed to a cPanel Interface. 
  6. Select Select PHP Version below the Software Tab
  7. Select the PHP version that is compatible with your website.
  8. Test your website to see if it’s compatible with PHP version by simply visiting your website in a new tab in your browser.
  9. If your website loads without any error messages present then your website is compatible and no further action is required.
  10. If you see an error message then that means your website is not compatible with PHP version.
